School-Age Care

Ages: Kindergarten to 5th grade

School-age wrap-around care is quite a challenge. Children often feel that they are too old to come to care. But they love knowing that they are safe and being looked after. We are here for homework help, study skills, and to listen to their worries, excitement, or frustrations. Besides you, the parents, we are their biggest cheerleaders. When they are done telling us about their day, we are prepared with several activities to engage them such as art activities, student-directed pretend-play, SMART Board activities, and good old-fashioned board games.

There is lots of laughter, hugs, and a sense of humor either for working problems out or just because we are having fun.

Special highlights: remote learning days, early dismissals & 2-hour delay care, afternoon snacks, and holiday parties.

Summer Camp

Our summer camp program provides an environment for school-age children (Kindergarten – 5th grade) where they can strengthen creativity, foster friendships, and grow in confidence in a group setting. We help introduce our upcoming Kindergarten kids to their first school-age experiences— such as riding a bus— ones we know will be enjoyable and valuable.

Our daily activities take place indoors and outdoors and are both teacher and student-directed. A few of our favorite scheduled activities are bus field trips, outreach programs, water days, theme weeks, bowling, art projects, outdoor picnics, dance parties, and kickball— all geared toward making fond memories that will last a lifetime.

Featured summer activities: weekly bowling trips, local museum trips, local farm trips, Mad Science workshops, South Park Rangers, Whitehall Library visits, and safety trucks day.
